NGC 7479


 

  Object Information:

 

NGC 7479 - This striking galaxy in the constellation of Pegasus exhibits the distinctive central bar and "S" shaped spiral pattern of the SBc type barred spiral galaxy.  Estimates of the distance of NGC 7479 range from 130 to 140 million light years distant.
