NGC 7814


 

  Object Information:

 

NGC 7814 - This nearly edge-on spiral galaxy is located within the constellation of Pegasus.  Its distance is not accurately known but is estimated to lie between 40 million and 50 million light years distant.  A careful look at this image will reveal a multitude of tiny and very distant background galaxies. Only five of the background galaxies shown in this image are brighter than magnitude 20.
